Ron is a co-founder and Partner at Hotel Profitability Advisors. He has over thirty years of proficiency in the hospitality industry with experience in directing and managing top line revenue – from branding and marketing to project management and sales operations. Ron’s key role as a forward-looking executive has proved instrumental in the acceleration and launch of brand strategy and asset repositioning for some of the top management companies in the country.
Ron is a senior hotel executive with proven success in driving revenue gains, sales productivity, marketing programs and expense controls across all hotel chain categories and asset types. He is a strong revenue leader, financial analyst, skilled sales-operations leader and inspiring team mentor able to balance hotel operations with ownership’s financial requirements.
Most recently, prior to the creation of Hotel Profitability Advisors, Ron served as the Vice President of Sales and Development for Windsor Capital Group (WCG Hotels). Ron had stewardship of the Sales and Marketing process across a portfolio which had generated nearly $200M in total revenues. Ron and his team assisted the company through the repositioning of its ten core assets after the completion of $80M in renovations. He and his teams were responsible for generating a 40% growth in Total Revenue; with an average annual growth of 5.6%. Ron also led the company’s development efforts by working on leads, proformas and due diligence for new acquisitions, ground-up construction, third-party management and joint-venture deals.
Earlier in his career, Ron held executive and regional sales leadership positions with Wyndham Worldwide, Coral Hospitality, HEI/Merritt Hospitality, Logian and Interstate Hotels Corp. Ron’s sales leadership roles have afforded him opportunities to supervise 50+ hotels at one time totaling 5700+ rooms and $750M in revenues, extensive resort, independent, full- select- and extended stay experience as well as direct supervision of convention centers, conference centers, golf and beach destination resorts, spas and franchised restaurants in a variety of settings – public and private, union and non-union. Coupled with 10+ years of on property sales leadership roles, Ron’s extensive experience positions Hotel Profitability Advisors as a leader in hotel consulting services dedicated to increasing client profitability and financial performance maximization through the development of operating, sales and marketing, cultural and capital investment strategies that focus on improving product positioning, driving ROI on capital projects, and increasing overall asset valuations.
